The Capitol

Boasting a spectacularly ornate Chicago Gothic style, The Capitol is one of Melbourne’s most beloved architectural icons. Following RMIT’s state-of-the-art refurbishment, it has been transformed into a contemporary centre for the cultural and education industries, with a variety of flexible spaces available to innovate and enjoy.
Box Office
The MIFF Box Office is located in the Foyer, accessible via a set of stairs from the Swanston Street entrance or via the lift in the Capitol Arcade to Level 1 for step-free/wheelchair access.
Food and Beverage
There is a bar and candy bar located in the Foyer, offering beer, wine and refreshments. The cinema is licensed.
